Our school is a proud member of the World Sar Ping Federation and Sifu Nelson Ferreira is a direct disciple of Grandmaster Chan Siew Kee, Third Generation inheritor of the Sar Ping Lion Arts and head of the Sar Ping Lion Arts family worldwide. Our members have the opportunity to learn this art and, later on, perform it at events and festivals all over. We are also members of the United States Dragon & Lion Dance Federation giving our members opportrunities to expand their knowledge, gain insights, travel and even compete at national and international events!

The lion dance is a favorite performance at festivals, most often seen during the Lunar New Year celebrations, it is usually done to bring protection, good energy and auspiciousness to the event or area where its performed. It has a profound historical and cultural significance in China and all over Asia. This deeply rooted art also plays a crucial role in carrying forward traditional Chinese culture to the worldwide sports stage, through international competitions that promote cultural exchange and better understanding among practitioners.
